Ray Osborn is a composer, pianist, and guitarist
from Fort Worth, TX. Ray began his musical
studies at age 9 after his parents bought him a
guitar for his birthday and he quickly learned how
to play his favorite songs by ear. During his teenage years, he became adept at transcribing music, and as early as middle school was creating original music to accompany games his friends had designed.
As a piano student at Tarrant County College, he was recognized as an Outstanding Music Student through the Celebration of Excellence, qualifying for the Ruth Bost Music Scholarship. He graduated from University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelors of Music Composition degree, where he was also a recipient of the Reel Music Scholarship. He has composed music in a wide variety of styles and instrumentations, including woodwinds, brass, guitar, strings, piano, voice, and even experimental electronica. During college, he played in a diverse range of groups, including jazz band, choir, and percussion ensemble.
Ray Osborn is excited to be teaching piano through Music Junkie Studios and as a teacher, he fosters his students' love of music regardless of where their interests lie. His taste in music and experience is extremely varied - whether his students want to learn their favorite pop songs, study classical piano, explore compositional techniques and music theory, or anything in between, Ray is eager to help his students realize their musical potential.
