
Peter Wierenga began his study of drums in the west suburbs of Chicago, IL. He attended Winfield Middle School and West Chicago Community High School where he participated in drumline, chamber choir, jazz
After high school, Peter graduated from Belmont University in Nashville, TN where he played for five years as a session musician, and toured with local bands. In 2012 he moved to Fort Worth, TX and has been playing for Jake Paleschic and Siberian Traps, while filling in for other local favorites such as Ronnie Heart, Bummer Vacation, The Fluorescents, and many more. Peter also records and mixes local and national artists, and is a live sound engineer.
Along with 17 years as a percussionist, 10 years of recording, and 5 years as a live sound engineer, Peter has professionally taught young musicians, and underprivileged youth throughout his career.
