“My kid wants to play the songs on their playlist — not ‘Hot Cross Buns’ for the tenth week.
“I taught myself a few chords off YouTube… and now I can play three songs and nothing else.
“Half the lessons were subs who didn’t know where we left off.
“A year in, I honestly couldn’t tell you what my kid had learned.
“My kid is shy, and every other place felt built for the kid who already loves performing.
“I wanted to play rock, and they handed me a method book full of classical and folk exercises.
You don’t need “natural talent.” You need a real guide — and songs actually worth practicing.
That’s the whole difference. We build the fundamentals into the music you already want to play, so practice stops feeling like a chore and starts feeling like you.

🌿Just for the joy of itNo recital, no goal, no pressure. Sometimes guitar is simply your thing — an hour that’s yours.
Not sure if it’s the right time — or the right instrument?
Guitar asks for a little finger strength and dexterity, and very small hands sometimes struggle at first. If you’re not sure guitar is the right fit — or the right age to start — just ask. We’ll help you choose the best instrument and the best time to begin, honestly, even if that means waiting a bit or starting somewhere else.
YOUR GUITAR TEAMMatched with the right teacher for you
Several of our instructors teach guitar — from a child’s very first chord to advanced lead, fingerstyle, and songwriting. We match you (or your kid) with the teacher who fits your level, your goals, and your personality.
And they tend to stay: our teachers are here 7, 9, 11+ years. You build a real relationship — not a revolving door.

The concept is pretty remarkable. My 10-year-old loves all genres — and here she can engage in the music that drives her, not just the classical stuff.

Frequently asked questions
+What age can my child start guitar?
It depends more on the hands than the birthday. Guitar asks for some finger strength and dexterity, so very young kids sometimes struggle at first — many children are ready around 6–7, but it varies. Not sure? Just ask. We’ll give you an honest read and help you choose the right instrument and starting age.
+Do we need our own guitar? Acoustic or electric?
Yes — students need a guitar at home to practice on. Which kind depends on your goals and comfort, and we’re glad to help you choose before you buy so you don’t waste money on the wrong fit.
+I’ve never played — am I too old to start?
Not even close. Some of our most motivated students are adults who always wished they’d learned. We start at zero and build at your pace.
+How much do lessons cost?
Three options: Drop-Ins for flexibility, Monthly Tuition (our most popular — a discounted rate with bonus lesson hours built in), and our 12-Month Membership for the best value. Grab the
Service Guide on our
sign-up page for current pricing.
+What if we need to miss a lesson?
Tuition is appointment-based, so there are no refunds or credits for missed lessons. As a free courtesy, Monthly Tuition students can use bonus make-up options like our Free Lesson Days (offered periodically), or switch to an online lesson — same day, same time, same teacher. Drop-In students can reschedule with at least 3 hours’ notice.
