Maybe one of these sounds like you?
She wants to sing and play at the same time and has no idea how to start.
Guitar strings tore up her fingers and she gave up before it got fun.
Every video online is either way too baby or way over her head.
She’s little, and the guitar neck was just too much for her hands to wrap around.
My hands aren’t what they were — I wanted something my fingers could actually manage.
I don’t always want to have to lug a big thing in a case out of the closet.
Every “beginner” tutorial assumes she already knows things nobody taught her.
Soft strings that won’t shred your fingers. A neck small enough for little hands. And a real teacher instead of a thousand confusing videos.
It’s easy to start and endless to explore — and because it’s so forgiving, you’ll be strumming (and singing along to) real songs early. That early win is what keeps people playing for life.

Kind to every kind of hand
Unlike guitar or bass, the ukulele has a small neck and soft nylon strings — so it won’t shred little fingers, and it’s gentle on aging or achy hands, too. It’s light enough to grab off the shelf (no lugging a big case), and forgiving enough that almost anyone can start. Not sure it’s the right fit? Just ask — we’ll give you an honest read.
Matched with the right teacher for you
From a child’s first chord to fingerstyle and singing along, we match you (or your kid) with the teacher who fits your level, your goals, and your personality.
And they tend to stay: our teachers are here 7, 9, 11+ years. You build a real relationship — not a revolving door.

The concept is pretty remarkable. My 10-year-old loves all genres — and here she can engage in the music that drives her, not just the classical stuff.

For our youngest beginners (ages 3–6), we usually suggest starting with Music for Littles, where they can explore rhythm and singing through play — and the ukulele is a wonderful next step the moment little fingers are ready for chords.
We teach first-timers, teens leveling up, and adults chasing a lifelong dream — beginner through advanced.
